Here is exactly which information is used when you analyse a dream, which is not, and what happens to the data that is sent.
When you ask for a dream to be analysed, Songe sends the information it needs to an OpenAI model. The model picks out the emotions, people, places, symbols and themes in what you wrote, then offers an analysis of the dream. That information then feeds My collection, recurrences, statistics and reports.
What is sent
Depending on what you filled in, the analysis may use the dream itself, its rating, what you noted about it, your context note and some details from your Dreamer profile, such as the people around you, places that matter to you, your animals or your life context.
What is not sent
Your email address, your password and your account identifier are not sent to the model with your dream. Audio recordings are transcribed and only the text is kept. No analysis runs without you asking for it: if you simply save a dream in your journal, it is not sent to the analysis model.
What OpenAI does with the data sent
Analysis goes through OpenAI's API. Under the terms that apply to that API, content sent to it is not used to train the models. It may be kept temporarily for safety purposes before being deleted.
You stay in control
You choose which dreams to analyse. You can also export your data, or delete your account and its contents, from Settings.

Songe's analyses are prompts for reflection. They are not a diagnosis, nor a truth about you or about your dream, and they do not replace professional advice. Your own context, and the meaning you give the dream yourself, still matter most.
