What Songe AI is

Songe AI is a dream journal app. It lets you write your dreams down on waking, by voice or keyboard, ask for an analysis assisted by artificial intelligence, and look at what returns from one dream to the next.

The service is published by Manifesting Reality LLC, whose details appear in the legal notice.

What Songe AI is not

This is the most important part of these terms, and it is not a formality.

Songe AI is not a medical device, not a health service, and not a mental health support service. The analyses it offers are not diagnoses and replace the advice of no health professional. They have no therapeutic value and must not form the basis of a decision about your health.

If you are going through distress, speak to a professional. In the UK, Samaritans can be reached free on 116 123, day or night. In France, 3114 is the national suicide prevention line. In a life threatening emergency, call your local emergency number.

Your account

Using Songe AI requires an account. The app creates it automatically the first time you open it; you can then attach your email address and a password to save your journal.

• You must be at least 15 years old.
• If you attach an email address to your account, you agree that it is valid and to keep it up to date, failing which we cannot reach you, in particular to reset your password.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for actions taken from your account.
• An account is personal. It cannot be shared or transferred.

Your dreams belong to you

You remain the owner of everything you write in Songe AI. We acquire no ownership rights over your dreams.

You grant us only the technical permission needed to run the service: to store your dreams, display them to you, and pass them to our analysis processor when you ask for an analysis. That permission is limited to this use and ends when you delete the content in question or your account.

Your dreams are not used to train artificial intelligence models, neither by us nor by our processors, under the conditions described in the privacy policy.

What you agree not to do

• Use the service for unlawful purposes, or to infringe anyone's rights.
• Attempt to access someone else's account, or to circumvent the service's technical limits.
• Disrupt the service, in particular through automated requests in abnormal volume.
• Systematically extract or reuse the app's content, in particular the dream dictionary.

AI analysis

Analysis of a dream is triggered by you, dream by dream. It relies on a language model supplied by a third party, and its output is a suggested reading, never the truth about your dream.

A language model can be wrong, and can produce a reading that is inaccurate or beside the point. You remain free to set aside an analysis that does not speak to you. What is sent during an analysis is set out on the AI analysis page and in the privacy policy.

Subscription

Songe AI offers free features and a paid subscription giving access to additional ones. What falls under each, and the prices that apply, are shown in the app and on songeai.com before any purchase.

Subscriptions taken out through the App Store are billed by Apple, to the account linked to your Apple ID. They renew automatically at the end of each period unless renewal is turned off at least twenty four hours before the current period ends. Managing and cancelling a subscription is done from your Apple account settings, not from within the app.

If you live in the European Union, you have a fourteen day right of withdrawal as a consumer. However, by asking for immediate access to the digital content, you agree that performance begins before the end of that period and you waive that right — in France, article L221-28 of the Consumer Code provides for this.

Refunds are governed by the policy of the store through which the purchase was made.

Availability and changes to the service

We do our best to keep the service available, without being able to guarantee uninterrupted operation. Interruptions can happen, in particular for maintenance or because of an incident at a supplier.

The service changes over time: features may be added, altered or removed. If a feature covered by your subscription were to be removed, you would be told beforehand and would be able to cancel.

Ending your use

You can stop using Songe AI at any time and delete your account from within the app, without giving a reason and without writing to anyone. Deletion is permanent.

We may suspend or close an account in the event of a serious breach of these terms, having told you first, except where the seriousness of the facts or the law prevents it.

Liability

We cannot be held liable for decisions you take following an analysis, nor for the interpretation you make of your dreams. Nor can we be held liable for loss of content resulting from the deletion of your account, since export is available to you at any time beforehand.

Nothing in these terms sets aside the statutory guarantees you have as a consumer, in particular the guarantee of conformity.

Intellectual property

The app, the site, their text, their illustrations, their visual identity and the editorial content of the dream dictionary are protected. Any reproduction or reuse without permission is prohibited. This protection plainly does not extend to what you write yourself.

Governing law and disputes

Manifesting Reality LLC is a company incorporated in the United States. These terms are governed by the law of the State of New Mexico, USA.

This clause takes nothing away from you: if you live in the European Union, you keep the benefit of the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence, and the right to bring proceedings before its courts. Nothing in these terms can stand in the way of that.

If something goes wrong, write to us first at contact@songeai.com: most situations are settled that way. If you live in the European Union and no agreement is reached, you can refer the matter to the European online dispute resolution platform.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be amended. If something significant changes, you will be told in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service counts as acceptance of the version in force.
